    The Colonel Newspaper was launched in 1973 by the late Ledyard High School teacher Lance Rockefeller.

    In the 2014-15 school year, the newspaper shifted to an online platform and transformed into The Colonel Newsmagazine.

    The newsmagazine is run by Ledyard High School's Journalistic Publications I & II

    The Ledyard Board of Education does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religious creed, age, marital status, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity or expression, disability (including pregnancy), status as a Veteran, or any classification protected by state or federal law.
