11 World Wonders, 274 nights, and more than 60 countries. On December 10, 2023, the Ultimate World Cruise by Royal Caribbean set sail for the first leg of the nine-month cruise. Passengers have a few choices regarding the length of their stay. The first option is staying the full nine months and all four legs of the cruise. Another option is to join for one or two legs only. Many of its passengers have gone to social media to document their journey.
Many of them share their experiences on TikTok, one of the more popular influencers people being Marc Sebastian. Sebastian is only on the ship for the first segment and has been documenting what the conditions are like on the boat. Every week he gives the audience a review of things that happened that week either to him or just in general. It’s cool that these creators are giving insight into their daily lives, so it is kind of like the viewers are also experiencing the cruise.
The Ultimate Americas Cruise leg is the first one and it lasts 64 nights and there are 36 destinations to explore. This leg goes from December 10, 2023, to February 11, 2024. Destinations for this leg include Bahamas, Mexico, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Barbados, Grenada, French Guinea, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Falkland Islands, Antarctica, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and ending in LA where people might get on or off the ship. New updates from passengers on the ship say the excursions in Ecuador have been canceled due to conflicts in the country.
The second leg of the cruise is the Ultimate Asia Pacific Cruise which includes 40 destinations and 87 nights and goes from February 11, 2024, to May 9, 2024. The destinations of this leg are Hawaii, French Polynesia, Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, and ends in the United Arab Emirates.
The third leg of the cruise covers the Middle East and the Mediterranean and it’s called Ultimate Middle East and Med Cruise and lasts 63 nights and includes 44 destinations. The dates for this segment are May 9, 2024, to July 10, 2024. All the countries this segment will visit are UAE, Oman, Jordan, Egypt, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Malta, France, and Spain. Although there has been some speculation about if the cruise will be able to complete this leg due to construction on the strait the cruise is meant to take to get into the Mediterranean. If they can’t get past they will need to find a different route to get to Europe whether it be a different channel in the Middle East or go around Africa, but that’s all we know for now.
The last leg of the trip is called the Ultimate Europe & Beyond Cruise. This segment will go to Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Ireland, France, England, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Lithuania, Norway, The Netherlands, Greenland, Newfoundland, New York, Bermuda, The Bahamas and ends in Miami.
This cruise is costly but how expensive is it? If you wanted to be on the ship for all nine months the price for an interior stateroom starts at $59,999 per person, for an oceanview stateroom it starts at $64,999 per person, balcony staterooms start at $82,949 per person, and a junior suite costs $117,599 per person. Amenities for being on all nine months are business class airfare, a pre-cruise hotel, and gala, the deluxe beverage package, wash and fold laundry service, and VOOM internet package plus more. Now if you are only joining for one leg the prices will be different and your room options are smaller and the amenities are different. They offer the deluxe drink package, the VOOM internet package, and the wash and fold service. The prices for the segments vary in price but are all under 25,000 dollars per person as a lead rate and are all under 400$ for a daily price per person.
If I had the money and time to take an opportunity like this I totally would. Traveling and seeing the world is a passion of mine and I want to visit all seven continents. My question to you is would you pack your bag for the Ultimate World Cruise?
