This December Ledyard High School got into the holiday season by having a door decorating contest. Advisories had a week to decorate their door in a festive winter holiday way. Gingerbread, Christmas trees, and snowflakes transformed the hallways into a cozy winter wonderland. Each grade had one winning door, and the advisories with the winning doors will be getting donuts and hot cocoa once school resumes after winter break. The 2025 winners were Ms. O’Brien’s freshmen class, Mrs. Lyon’s sophomore class, Ms. Szell’s junior class, and Mrs. Fazzino’s senior class. Although there were many amazing doors with lots of intricate designs and styles, the winners really stuck out because of their clever designs. However, if you want to win next winter, it is never too late to start brainstorming ideas. Here are some inspiration pictures that were done this year!
