November As and Fs

B: Ellis Island and Liberty Island trip:

The junior class field trip was great; everyone enjoyed their time on the islands. Juniors Lia Damatio and Hailey Peckham said that their favorite part was the Statue of Liberty, but it wasn’t as big as they thought it was. Their least favorite part was the warm temperatures in the museums. Some advice they would like to give to the next class that goes on this trip is to bring layers because some places are freezing, and some are very hot. They also advised bringing money, as food and gifts from the gift shop are very expensive.

B+ :Thanksgiving

Everyone had a great Thanksgiving break, but we all wish it were extended longer, and coming back to school has been rough for all. But everyone had great food and a great time with friends and family.

A: Ledyard High School Drama Festival

The Ledyard High School Drama Festival had a big turnout. Many students got to see a preview of the new musical Chicago that they will be performing in March. The drama festival was a great experience and an awesome show to watch.

A: Powder Puff

The 2025 Powder Puff game was a success. The seniors and freshmen defeated the sophomores and juniors after a very thrilling, competitive game. The score was back and forth the entire game, but the seniors and freshman got the win, 27-26. Everyone had so much fun, and can’t wait for next year’s Powder Puff game.

F: The Fight for the Sword

The fight for the sword did not go as planned; we unfortunately lost. At the beginning of the game, we came out strong with a touchdown from Jackson Favery. We then lost our momentum, and Fitch ultimately won 30-14. Now we must wait another year to win back the sword.
