Ledyard High School has decided to take away spring break this year because of all the snow
days we have encountered. Students are required at LHS to go to school for a certain number
of days in the year. Since we have had so many days off because of the weather, we wouldn’t
meet that requirement. The principals and superintendents have decided to take our spring
break away, and students have been protesting because of it!

Kids are gathering around about this crazy no spring break rule, one kid shouted out saying,
“THIS IS NOT FAIR. WE DIDN’T CONTROL THE WEATHER.” Another added, “WE DON’T HAVE
ANY SAY ABOUT THE DAYS YOU CANCEL!” causing havoc all around the school.
Kids started losing their minds after hearing about this insane decision and started a riot
together. Some kids just wanted to get their anger out on each other and started fighting, some
kids started fighting with teachers, and it became a complete mess.

Now school has been canceled for the week, so everyone can calm down because kids were
getting suspended left and right. Parents are calling the school, complaining about their kids
coming home hurt and telling them the horrible things that were happening. High schoolers
couldn’t handle their spring break getting taken away, and it didn’t seem to end very
peacefully. Still, it is unknown to everyone if spring break will still be canceled or if this riot
will continue.
