Sweater Weather Adventures

Grab your flannel and boots! It’s time to celebrate the magic of fall with these unforgettable events! The air is crisp, the leaves are turning, the calendar is packed with things like pumpkin picking, cider mill, and last, but certainly not least, Fright Fest at Six Flags!

From the smell of cider to the flaky donuts, Clyde’s Cider Mill is an opening to fall and makes everyone fall in love with the season all over again. Senior Faith Dalton describes it as,“the best fall-oriented activity with delicious snacks. I get to watch the cider be made with donuts and popcorn, and it’s overall a great experience.” Not only can you get a cup of hot cider, but also a slushie. They have so many options about how you have your cider made and how much you get from a cup to gallons. The order line has people surrounded by all sorts of different treats and spices, like outside, there are different kinds of honey, flavors you wouldn’t think of, and always giving out free samples!

Pick your pumpkin! Pumpkin picking is not only fun for Halloween, but it’s a good fall activity. Senior Invanka Rojas says, “I love going because you can pick different colors and sizes. My friends and I love to get into cute outfits and taking pictures.” Wandering through rows of bright orange pumpkins, the crisp air, and hayrides, it’s the perfect way to spend time with family and friends, snapping Instagram photos, and finding the pumpkin that’s perfect for carving and baking the seeds. Nothing says fall like a warm drink and finding your pumpkin!

Fright Fest at Six Flags is a thrilling fall activity that brings spooky vibes and excitement! As Junior Emma Sonia Henry Ortiz gets into the fall spirit perfectly, she says, “It’s so fun to go with friends, we stay there all day until they close, and I love the adrenaline when the ride is starting.” Imagine walking through the roads surrounded by rides and dodging zombies, mummies, werewolves, and chainsaw- welding clowns. The park transforms from the yummy food and foggy pathways to fun decorations. Spending the whole day there makes you hungry, thankfully, they have many options, some are Bloodberry Shakes, Graveyard burgers, Casket Loaded Fries, chicken, and foot-long ice cream! Whether you’re screaming from the actors terrifying you on the paths or on the roller coasters, laughing with friends after getting jump scared, Fright Fest is the one place you don’t want to miss this season.

These fall events offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy your autumn. Whether you’re sipping fresh cider at the mill, picking the perfect pumpkin, or enjoying the thrills of Fright Fest, each experience is needed for this October. Grab your friends and loved ones and make this the most eventful time of year!
