As and Fs report cards give grades to school events at the end of each month. These are based on our own opinions, not statistics. Stay tuned for new report cards each month.
A+: Ledyard vs. NFA Football Game
On Thursday, September 18, the Ledyard Colonels faced off against NFA, winning 43-20. The NFA game was FIRE! The student section was so hype and followed the theme of white lies. This started the Colonels’ season off great, securing their second win of the season.
A+: To School Lunches
Everyone loves school lunch; students especially love the wraps and the pizza. Ledyard does a very good job of providing variety, so there’s something for everyone. There are pizza, burgers, wraps, salad, and even more! They also have a good variety of drinks and chips to top off your meal!
A-: To Girls’ Varsity Volleyball
The Ledyard Varsity Volleyball Team has been doing great! They have only one loss so far during their season. With a record of 11-1. The team has great energy and connections with each other. Their games are so fun to watch. Keep up the great work!
B+: Senior Sunrise
On September 12, our seniors had a cozy morning out on the Ledyard turf field watching the sunrise, eating a yummy breakfast, and taking flicks together. A good number of seniors showed up to enjoy this morning together. Seniors said the sunrise wasn’t as pretty as they had hoped, but they still had a good time.
B+: To the Big E Ag trip
The Big E trip was very fun; Danielle Garrett said her favorite parts were getting to see multiple animals, like adorable chicks, and talking to the workers about different animals. Garrett also said that the food was really good, especially the large turkey legs. But Issac Hawkins said that the Big E was very crowded, and it wasn’t very fun for people who don’t enjoy being around a lot of people. Overall, it was very fun!
B+: To the First Day of School
The first day of school was great, and everyone looked stunning! Although some people got lost and couldn’t find their classes, everyone eventually arrived at their classes and had a great start to the year!
C+: To the First Activity Period
The first activity period went well; it was very fun, and there were multiple options for everyone to choose from. We had trouble finding the sign-in sheet and knowing when and where to go. The transition and signing in were a little chaotic, but everyone had fun!
F: To the Bees and Flies.
Everyone has been annoyed by the bees and flies dive-bombing people around the school. They fly into people’s faces while they’re locked in class. It also distracts everyone from learning in class because they are scared of getting stung. Lastly, some people are allergic, so it’s unsafe for them to be in some classes while bees are flying all around them.
