1. Go after a goal that you’ve set for yourself. Work hard. There’s no time like the present to go out and crush your goals. What are you waiting for anyway? Now’s the time to get up and make your dreams a reality. Whether it’s a fitness goal, an academic goal, or even a mental goal, all are equally important and deserve your full attention in this new year.
2. Make healthy life choices. Sometimes we just want to veg out on the couch, and that’s completely okay! It can be a form of comfort and importance for some people. I do it from time to time too, but it’s also important to drink plenty of water, get some exercise, and eat healthy. Maybe balance out your veg session with a walk (or dance your way to the kitchen for another snack 😉 No judgement here!).
3. Keep a journal of things that make you happy. This one may seem silly, but it helps me. I journal all of the things that made me happy in a day so that I can look back on the various pages in my journal when I’m feeling down. It can change your mood for the day and it also gives you something to look forward to everyday. You can make it into a game to look for the good and the happy everyday. Personally, I try to journal at least three things everyday. Why not give it a try?
