On Jan. 15, the band will be performing in their annual winter concert. “Audience members can look forward to hearing from not only our in school symphonic band, but our wind orchestra, jazz band, and flute quintet,” junior Corinne Diaz said. “Also, we’re performing a fun mash up of holiday songs everyone knows and loves.”
There will also be performances by soloists Catherine Rousseau, Lexi Armstrong, Abbey Hennessy, Corinne Diaz, Max Higgins, Julia Bennett and Peter Geoly.
Many of the band members are excited to perform. “I am looking forward to performing in wind orchestra,” senior Jessica Hazler said. “ The songs are fun to play and listen to. Plus I get to switch between flute and piccolo a lot and I love playing both.”
Geoly, is a sophomore is also enthusiastic about the performance, “After practicing for four months I’m definitely looking forward to playing for my friends and family and listening to the jazz band and wind orchestra,” he said.
The band has been practicing hard for this performance. They are hoping that everyone will come out and listen to them play.
