the stars from the sky are in my eyes

and dreams shall bleed into reality, too

there is only so much you can go through

my smile really did take me by surprise

time only told me what i already knew

every night must end and the sun will rise

can you tell what is wrong and what is true?

up to now has been how’s and why’s

why sleep when wakefulness has a new hue?

the glow of the moon has made me wise

the passing of days turned my mind askew

but i shall never let lows bring down highs
