A to outdoor lunch area for the Senior Class! The new outdoor seating is a beautiful addition to the front of the school and a great senior privilege…and to all students after school hours.
A to new staff members: This year LHS welcomed many new members to our Colonel Staff, and they are all excellent additions to the school.
A to the beginning of fall sports: Good luck out there to all our fall athletes who work hard to bring home countless ECC and State awards.
B to AIM every Wednesday: Having AIM every Wednesday is great, but having advisory (homeroom) everyday has not been forgotten and we still miss it.
C to Blue and White Day: I’ve always loved Blue and White Day and rewarding student achievements is important, but as one of the many students who were cramped on the bleachers, we did not need to have an all school event in the gym during the hottest day of school. If it couldn’t be rescheduled, there weren’t any features of the assembly that couldn’t have been moved into the cafeteria.
C to bathroom renovations: Don’t get me wrong, up-to-code bathrooms will be AMAZING! But they aren’t yet, and having to close off bathrooms is an inconvenience to students during class, especially with the new bathroom sign-out system featuring a pass to tell faculty members which hallway you are supposed to be in.
F to 3 day Spirit Week: This one really speaks for itself, three day spirit week…really? All classes better step it up with the limited time to earn spirit points!
