So Fresh, So New, Ayden Harris: Class President of 2022

In a sea of new freshmen, Ayden Harris is a fresh, new face at LHS. However, this history- loving, “Godfather” watching, eggplant parmesan eating, freshman stands out among his class. Harris, with his positive outlook and fresh ideas, won over his peers, taking the seat as the freshman class president. For those who don’t know Harris, he gave some insight into what he thinks will be his biggest obstacle and what he hopes to achieve as freshman class president. Leading the ninth grade class into new beginnings, Harris is also joined by vice president Jaxson O’Connell, secretary Olivia Post, and treasurer Katelyn Hughes. Best of luck, to the leaders, and the whole class of 2022!

Q: Why did you run for president?

A: I ran for class president because I wanted to amplify the voices of my class and felt I could be an unbiased voice. I also felt that to the best way to know what’s going on was to be in control.

Q: What are some fundraising ideas you have for the year?

A: Personally, I don’t have any at the moment, but I have plans that if a fundraising idea hasn’t worked out in the past then I want to change it into a more creative and hopefully successful idea.

Q: What are you most nervous about as class president?

A: I’m actually not that nervous, I just don’t want to make a fool of myself.

Q: What do you think will be your biggest challenge as president and how do you plan to overcome it?

A: My biggest challenge will probably be being re-elected. My best way to overcome it is to listen to, and consider ideas and try putting them into action, to really be fair to anyone.

Q: What is your biggest goal for the year as class president?

A: To try strengthening bonds between most, if not all of the freshmen class.
