- Start a Garden
Spring is the time to begin planting flowers in your yard. The variety of bright colors in the grass will not just brighten up your yard, but your day too!
- Go Hiking!
During such isolating times, it is so important to get outside and feel the breeze on your face, see some cute critters, and just enjoy nature. Find a trail near you and make sure to stay distanced from others.
- Paint Rocks
While you are on that hike, make sure to pick up some rocks along the way and have fun painting them after!
- Go Camping in Your Backyard
If you can, and do not already have one, get a tent and enjoy a nice camping “trip” in your backyard. Bring some snacks, listen to music, and maybe roast some marshmallows.
- Stargazing
Spring is a great time to get out late at night and do some stargazing. You can use a telescope to observe the planets or just sit outside and look at the beautiful constellations. If you are having trouble finding a star, planet, etc., try downloading Star Walk in your phone’s app store!
- Have a Picnic
Nothing is better than a spring picnic. Pack some yummy food in a basket and lay out a blanket wherever you choose while soaking up the sun. Of course, take all the necessary precautions amidst the pandemic, and if you are unable to do this with others, there is no shame in a lunch date with yourself. Maybe read a book or even draw something!
- Spring Cleaning
Although it may sound horrid, a deep clean is a great way to start the new season. Get in all those drawers you have not touched in years and do not be afraid to get rid of the things you are holding on to for no reason.
- Watch the Sunset
The perfect ending to a beautiful spring day is watching the sunset before going to bed.
- Take a Drive
We are all getting tired of looking at the same walls and screens everyday. To switch it up, take a short, scenic drive out of town to check out what you have missed for so long from the safety of your car.
- Do Yoga
Muscles weak and tight from sitting on Zoom and Google calls? Try picking up yoga! Find an easy yoga routine on YouTube to ease your mind, relax, and work out those stiff muscles.
- Write Letters
Kindness matters now more than ever. While a nice text to a friend may be nice, sending a heartfelt letter to someone’s mailbox could really leave a smile on their face.
