As incoming freshmen, there are many different high schools that you can choose from with each having different qualities that make them appealing, but the most unique is Ledyard. Why do you ask? Well, there are many different reasons. Here are some of our favorite parts straight from Ledyard High School students. 

Junior Jackson Favry said, ¨Ledyard High School offers different clubs that students can choose from, and Ledyard has animals you can attend to.¨ Incoming freshmen who are coming through the AG program are the students that have the ability to work with these amazing animals. 

Senior Teagan Caviness said, “ Sports teams’ games are really good and entertaining to go to , especially football games. Ledyard has a good community and everyone knows each other.” 

Junior Olivia Shelton said, ¨We have a very good Ag program and it offers a lot of different opportunities in that program.¨

Sophomore Bella Storz says, “It’s a great school, make sure you do sports, clubs and participate in activities. It’s fun and you’ll meet a lot of new people of many different grades and you can make a bunch of new friendships.” 

Senior Maggie Dykes says, “ It’s a small school, so it’s very easy to make friends and find a community; you and your friend group are more likely to be tighter.” 

Mrs. Smith, a very wonderful, kind, hard-working librarian states, “ The group of teachers here are amazing. You walk into Ledyard and you’re part of a family; we educate, take care of and help you succeed in life.”  

Junior Andrew Loupes said, ¨We have a farm.¨

Freshman Avery Williams said, ¨Sports are good and the coaches are very supportive of you.¨

Sophomore Baya Cuevas stays, ¨Ag is great and you meet some of your best friends you’ll ever meet.¨

Sophomore Isabella Miller says, ¨Join Ag. It is very fun and you get many new experiences and it looks very good on ur college application.¨ She also says that, ¨The people and teachers you meet are very nice.¨

Junior Ayden Quilter says, ¨The environment is good and the way teachers help and support you is amazing. The teachers also give you so many good resources to use in high school and even after you graduate.¨

To conclude, there are many different reasons to come to Ledyard High School. These are just a few of many reasons. We have a great environment here with many different sports, classes, activities, clubs, and programs to choose from. Everyone is very nice and it’s very easy to make friends of all ages. So choose to be a Colonel and come to Ledyard High School.
