The Colonel: How long have you been fencing?
Spencer: This is my third year fencing.
Nicole: I have been fencing since freshman year.
The Colonel: What are your favorite parts about fencing?
Spencer: I would have to say hanging out with team members is the best part of fencing, or getting to know a move really well so you can just have fun with the certain skill.
Nicole: I think my favorite part is going to the really long Saturday tournaments. It’s when everything goes crazy.
The Colonel: Do you plan on fencing in the future?
Spencer: I would like to. Even if my college doesn’t have a team, I will find a club since they are in a lot of major cities.
Nicole: I have been looking at a lot of colleges and so far I have been offered a scholarship to Wagner College in Staten Island, New York and I might take it up.
The Colonel: What are your goals for the rest of the season?
Spencer: We have been doing pretty well this year, so I would say it’s a goal for men’s epee to play at ECC”s and definitely qualify for states.
Nicole: My initial goal is to medal at ECC’s, but another goal after that is possibly to get first place.
