October Report Card

A to Yearbook Marketing: Have you read our ads on the bathroom stalls yet? Good reads.

A to a More Interactive Colonel: Our own Mrs. Fagan could probably make a living with A’s and F’s given the amount of ideas she tweeted us for this edition. The Colonel has also introduced polls, which have all reached over 100 responses, thanks for participating, Colonels!

A to our New Superintendent: Jason Hartling, our new superintendent has been spotted going out and about to learn about Ledyard’s community. Welcome to the Colonel family Mr. Hartling!

A to Chef Caron and his Students: Chef Caron, one of the newest members of LHS, and his students have created not only great food, but partnerships with LEAF, Holmberg’s and more.

A to Mrs. Schwenk and Guidance Department: Shoutout to everyone who helped put together an excellent college fair for students and parents.

A to the College Fair: With over 100 colleges in attendance, it was a great opportunity for juniors and seniors to begin their college search.

A to Fall: PSLs and Uggs for the girls and dress shirts layered with Vineyard Vines vests for the boys have finally made their yearly return, and it’s wonderful.

F to Required PSATs/SATs: If you’re not planning on going to college or you’re enlisting in the military, you shouldn’t have to take the SATs and possibly not graduate due to your score.

F to Immediate Detentions for Being Tardy: When detentions are handed out for being late, it’s a smarter decision to not come in at all, which may be detrimental to students’ grades. Administration, would you rather students come in a few minutes late or begin to miss entire days?

F to Hurricane Matthew: Although not having reached CT, this category 4 hurricane has taken hundreds of lives and SHUT DOWN DISNEY WORLD.
