Take Care of Yourself

It’s gotten difficult for students and teachers alike to take some time for themselves. Assignments and due dates always seem to be looming and that can be stressful. Here is a compiled list of things you can do to help melt the stress away.

Calling all Disney fans! If you’re missing the parks and the rides just as much as I am, now you don’t have to! A virtual Walt Disney World has come to our rescue! Click here to experience the Disney magic from your own home! Goodbye stress and hello Mickey.

Maybe you’re more of a Universal Studios fan; well don’t fret, because there’s a virtual experience for you too! Click here to see the magic of Harry Potter World, Transformers, and even Dr. Suess Land! Goodbye stress and hello fun times.

Ice cream may just be the answer to all of our problems, and if not, it’ll at least make you feel better. Make an ice cream sundae with your favorite ice cream and all the sprinkles that you can find!  I’ll be right back, currently drooling over this delicious looking sundae! Goodbye stress and hello deliciousness.

Maybe you’re looking for some sort of a change. If you want to change your hair, now’s the time to do it! Get those scissors or hair dye and change it up. If you want to change your wardrobe, go thrift shopping – you’ll never know what treasures you’re going to find. Goodbye stress and hello new you.

Do you want to change the world, but you don’t know where to start? Try going to the beach or a local park to pick up garbage. Bring some friends (wear masks please!) and save the planet one piece of garbage at a time. Goodbye stress and hello clean world!

Reading a good book can really lift your spirits. Maybe you have a favorite author that you like, or if you’re not sure, go to your local library. I’m sure the lovely librarians would be happy to help you find something that you would like – that is their job after all! Goodbye stress and hello new hobbies.

Finally on our list, we have basic self-care. Drink some water, go for a walk to get some fresh air, and just enjoy life. You only get one, so spend it doing the things that you love.

Senior Samantha Lajoie is a staff writer for the 2020-2021 school year. She is typically thinking about all things Disney, so if she doesn’t answer, don’t be offended, join her on her journey to her imagination destination.
