How long have you been playing volleyball?

I’ve been playing for about five years, since eighth grade.

 

What is the best memory you’ve had from high school volleyball?

Probably winning the state championship in 2012.

 

Do you wish to play in college? If so, where and why?

I do. I’m looking at Keene in New Hampshire and East Stroudsburg in Pennsylvania. I have a lot of interest for the sport, and I wish to pursue further playing.

 

What’s the biggest obstacle you’ve had to overcome?

It’s probably this year, having a younger team and trying to help them out with skills.

 

How has playing affected your life?

It has made me more like a leader.

 

What will you miss the most from high school volleyball?

I will miss playing with the girls on the team. I’ve played with Michelle all four years and most of the girls for two. We all became so close and have that special team bond.

 

How do you manage playing volleyball on top of everything else?

 On nights I didn’t have games, I tried to do as much homework as I could so I wouldn’t have to do too much when I got home from my games late at night. With college searching, I did at least thirty minutes each night on a college or two.

 

What are your hopes for the season?

My hopes for this season are to get into States and go far. We will have to keep working hard, but I believe we can do it.
