Junior Trevor Hutchins is a three-sport varsity athlete. He is a strong contributor to the boys’ soccer, basketball and tennis teams.
- How long have you been playing each sport?
I’ve played since I was in 1st grade.
- Which is your favorite and why?
Tennis is my favorite right now because it’s on the uprise again.
- What’s your favorite memory so far?
Scoring 30 points in a single game of basketball.
- What’s your greatest athletic achievement so far?
Making it to the 3rd round of States with the soccer team this year. It was memorable because getting that far with the team we had was impressive, and it took a lot of hard work. But more importantly, it serves as a motivator for this year. I like to think if we made it to the third round last year, that this year we could and should go even further, especially with the talent we have on our team.
- Do you have any rituals/ways to prep for games?
I just listen to my jams.
- Who is your athletic inspiration?
If I had to choose, I’d say Paul Pierce from the Boston Celtics, because of his work ethic. I try to bring that to the table whenever I play. I just admire that about him- whenever he plays basketball he puts all his effort into winning.
- What have you learned from playing sports?
If you want to be good, you have to work hard and be confident.
- What are your goals for the next couple weeks?
I definitely have unfinished goals for basketball. I have goals to win ECCs and then to win states. We have a team that can accomplish these things and I plan to.
