A to Spirit Week: Smoking is bad, and so was the Class of 2019’s performance, but the Class of 2017 was FINALLY able to work together enough so they could graduate with a win.
A to athletic seasons: It’s nice to see more trophies being added to the giant trophy cases in the athletic hallway. Special shoutouts to all the athletes who represented Ledyard this year, from junior Collin Wiltshire winning 4th place in the triple jump for outdoor track, to Ken Turner and Nick Smith being named D1 baseball all-stars.
A to Netflix releases: Riverdale, 13 Reasons Why, The 100, you know, for when we get tired of studying for finals, because we definitely all study.
A to Mr. Hammond: Whoever takes his place will have a hard time living up to his musical and concert producing skills.
A to Ledyard raising each other up through hard times: This year was exceptionally rough for many of us, but this community truly sticks together like no other.
B to Blue and White Day: Being together as a school is great, but be honest, so many of us were just there to clap.
F to unplanned evacuations (in the rain): …and then being shoved in various places of the building until it was clear, after standing in the rain.
F to finals: We won’t miss you, 90-minute stress-inducing exam periods.
F to the senior ‘prank’: But let’s not mention the lack of creativity and commitment.
F to June 19 being a Monday: On top of finals, the last day of school being a Monday is absurd, let’s just not.
