Art For AIDS : Volunteers are wanted for the 10th Annual Art for AIDS fundraiser. June 6th from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Volunteers are needed to collect art from ArtSpace in Hartford. As well as hanging pieces and setting up the room. Also needed to service food and drinks during the Art preview. Saturday, June 8th from 7 pm to 10 pm volunteers are needed to assist in selling raffle tickets, help with food, register artists and more! FreshPlace : FreshPlace is a food pantry with people that help with referral services and provide assistance to help people become more self-sufficient. Volunteers are wanted for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 2pm and Saturday’s from 9am to 1pm. Volunteers can choose how long they want to work. Volunteers are also encouraged to work Fridays from 9am to 1pm to help unload and repackage weekly food donations. Hartford Hospital : At Hartford hospital, there are over 200 positions available. Most opportunities are during weekdays which is perfect for the summer! There are some options for volunteering at night and sometimes on the weekends. Volunteers help with the information desk, help with Art for Healing, and become patient representatives and more. Creative Living : Creative Living Community of Connecticut (CLCC) is helping and working side by side with people who have developmental disabilities in their greenhouse program. Volunteers can seed microgreens, harvesting the greens, and packaging the product for delivery to restaurants and farmers market. Volunteers can work during the weekdays from 9am to 1pm.
