Inside Scoop: Question Corner

As the year is coming to an end, many students are going to be making their way into freshman year. Freshman year can be rough, changing schools from one you’re comfortable in to one you’ve never stepped foot in can be scary, but you are going to be here for the next four years, so don’t hide away and take advantage of the opportunities that will be offered to you. Here are some quotes from upperclassmen, saying what they wished they knew coming into freshman year.

Question: What did you wish you knew coming into freshman year?

Senior Andrew Harris- “I think everyone should join some kind of extracurricular activity or a sport to become involved with the school.”

Junior Vivica Morava- “Manage your time so you will be able to keep up in school, as well as have free time.”

Junior Brooke Bradham- “Do something now for your future, make goals, you will thank yourself for thinking about your future later on.”

Senior Joyce Ihloff- “Take advantage of ALL opportunities.”

Junior Lindsay Farina- “Put your physical and mental health first.”

Junior Lindsay Davies- “ Don’t worry about the little things. The world won’t end if one thing goes wrong.”

Senior Chloe Mingoia- “Don’t beat yourself up over school work and always prioritize yourself.”

Junior Katie Rezendes- “It’s not as glamorous and fun as everyone thinks it is. You are literally there to just do work and then leave.”

Junior Jheryll De Dios- “Excellence is not a skill, it’s an attitude.”

Junior Tyler Howard- “Try any new sport as a freshman and you will meet so many new people. Get involved, you won’t regret it.”

Senior Maddy Kinney- “4 years goes by really fast, so enjoy it for as long as you can, before your future starts.”
