The Perfect Fall Itinerary

The scent of cinnamon fills the crisp morning air. It’s the beginning of fall, and the leaves are changing from shades of green to shades of orange, yellow, and red. The wind blows, and the temperature slowly drops—the perfect weather for a fantastic, fun fall day all around the town. People walk around with coffee and pumpkin drinks in hand. October marks the beginning of fall’s changes, the transition from shorts and t-shirts to jeans and a pretty fall sweater. All of these things are what you see as the season changes from summer to fall, but what makes a perfect fall season all around?

Students of Ledyard High School have many different ways to spend a fall day. Junior Ellison Wallace says, “The best fall day is making a stop at Clyde’s Cider Mill after school for an apple cider slushy and some of their apple cider donuts.” Multiple people say it is best to begin a fall day with warmth and comfort, with a tasty fall-flavored drink in hand. Sophomore Sophia Piatek claims that, “For fall, you need to get a tasty Starbucks drink to watch Gilmore Girls with a fall-scented candle lit, and I always have to go to a haunted house with my friends!” Much like many others, junior Vanessa Syphret says, “I spend fall with my boyfriend going to fall-like places like the corn maze or carving pumpkins.” Just like Piatek, Sophomore Bella Storz enjoys hanging out with friends and family, “My family carves pumpkins and then bakes and eats the seeds after.”

As the fall season approaches and progresses into November, fall activities continue to be enjoyed. The haunted houses and corn mazes make people scream, smile, and laugh, but the best way to spend your fall season is with the friends and family you love, and that makes your season even brighter. What better way to enjoy this time than dressing in sweaters, getting tasty fall-flavored drinks, and hanging out with the people you care about, doing the things that make you smile?
