A Track-by-Track Review of “ANTI”

Rihanna’s eighth studio album, ANTI, was aptly named. After releasing Unapologetic in 2012, Rihanna had only a handful of singles stretched over a span of four years. FourFiveSeconds and American Oxygen fared pretty well on U.S. charts and made sure Rihanna stayed a household name. Prior to the original release date in January, the entire… Read More A Track-by-Track Review of “ANTI”

“The Forest” Movie Review

Spoiler alert! Movies, most of them seem to have the same plot these days, but “The Forest” was certainly a standout. With a bucket of fresh popcorn and a 64-ounce drink (Waterford Cinemas now provides massive drink options), we were ready to watch this new thriller with Natalie Dormer and Taylor Kinney (in real… Read More “The Forest” Movie Review

Royal Oaks Review

Cult 90’s films and sitcoms made it a rite of passage to somehow be involved in a laughable high school rock band. The Battle Has Begun

The film starts with Smaug’s attack on the Lake City, and it’s dead. The dwarves isolate into the mountain and ignore the help searching people from the lake, because the Arkenstone made Thorin sick. Elves and other dwarves arrive and they are “eye to eye” as enemies to each other. But the big battle is… Read More The Battle Has Begun

More Than a Song

Just hearing the song on the radio, you can tell “Take Me to Church” has a deeper meaning than many of the popular songs heard today. However, the music video has instantly hit another level, from the symbolism of the chained box to the gruesome treatment of the characters. The video is focused around the… Read More More Than a Song

A Good Scare or a Huge Disappointment?

The success of the 2013 film The Conjuring has brought forth its creepy prequel, Annabelle. Directed by John R. Leonetti, and starring Annabelle Wallis, Ward Horton, and Alfre Woodard, the horror flick manages to scare its audience, but fails to captivate them with an interesting storyline. Set in the late 1960s, Annabelle centers on Mia… Read More A Good Scare or a Huge Disappointment?
